October Country Folk rock cello with horns (clarinet) and harmonies. These guys are crazy talented. I bought their full discography, a first for me on Bandcamp. I'm leaving my review here to help boost their newest release, but my favorite MLC album is their brilliant studio Rock Symphony Billion, favorite song "Fly." Irresistibly fun in the way the first three Poi Dog Pondering albums were. I'm so pleased to have found these guys! Favorite track: Someday (Live at Lucky Run).

feelin' tired and overcome dealin' hard and I'm finding gold is the only dirty friend that I have some nights tipsy start in a gypsy soul lost my heart in a rabbit's hole and it's older now than I'll ever be and I am finding out where this is going for me and it's only down I'm down on my knees why don't you come and see just why you came to this time we share and the lives you care for most? why don't you come and breathe this air surrounding me? and tell me if this love I feel is enough for the impossibility of life at all and of finding words for what this moment is worth

everything's broken, nothing’s right you don't get a wink of sleep at night and you don't know what you're doing what touches my hands turns to mud what touches my lips tastes like blood and everything is ruined. I'm so neat and I'm so cute and God gave me two feet to shoot so I don't get where I'm going and you’re so muddy blue, so muddy blue, muddy blue, muddy blue… I'm telling you to get away you're free to leave and you're free to stay now just where do you ink you're going what scare you more? What you don't know, or knowing you'll be where you go forever and forever and you’re so muddy blue, so muddy blue, muddy blue, muddy blue…

I am the silence that hangs on these walls oh I am the silence that hangs on these walls I hold your memories, I feel your touch and I am the silence that hangs on these walls I am the voices that never get heard oh I am the voices that never get heard I bring a message of courage and hope and I am the voices that never get heard and I... was born beneath the winds that gave shape unto the mountains and I swam within the currents that busted into fountains I was never really certain of my purpose in existence but I found more than reason for being the day I met you...

they set out for a future that would serve the children well through the waters put some distance between themselves and hell they had money they were glad to trade for some documents and a name for family they had photographs, gathered in a frame they learned to speak the words of him they hoped to make a friend but they never seemed to understand exactly what they meant when they tried to make a joke, it somehow didn't seem so kind and with the help of time became what they tried to leave behind they were aliens, in a foreign land searching for a better world, but crashing somewhere else oh they were aliens, something less than man a threat to people's happiness, and trouble for their minds the money wasn't hard to make, but it was hard to keep the hole they made a home in every day a bit more deep when the children had adjusted, had a life to call their own they put to use those documents, across the waters that led back home but they were aliens, in a foreign land searching for a world they knew, but finding something else they were aliens, to their countryman with different views on happiness that troubled the people's mind they kept crossing waters to find a place where they belonged and though they had each other, they couldn't help but feel alone the search became a joke that somehow didn't seem so kind but with the help of time they came to understand that we're all aliens, in a foreign land coming from a better world, and headed somewhere else oh we are aliens, and somehow also man here to bring some happiness, and trouble... because we're aliens, in a foreign land searching for a better world, but crashing somewhere else oh we are aliens, and with our fellow man we're looking for some happiness, and a little peace of mind

I'm a bird, I'm a bird, and I can't fly and it's a fact that keeps me up at night and I walk, and I walk in the streets when all is quiet 'cause everyone else is asleep but who would have thought that poor little me would be talking to someone as special as a fish I'm a fish, I'm a fish, and I can't swim and it's a fact that keeps me up at night and I roll, and I roll the streets because the tide just tosses me out from the sea but who would have thought that a bird an fish would be walking and rolling and talking in the streets and who would have thought that a love like this could have happened between a bird and a fish

it's the kind of sound that sinks a hole in my head, it comes around to take a word that you said and explains the world for me with numbers and lines that become a sea of glitter and gold I tried to lead a life of water and bread, to leave a light on where the fathers have fed but instead I have sown the seed, that spread like a vine 'till it reached the sea, as others foretold and it feels right to begin for a while without a single thing in mind that could make the wheels run the ticking hands of space and time... it's Friday night and I'm alone in my bed, the phony silence of the battery's dead and the world has come for me but nothing escapes from this ebbing sea that has taken control and it feels right to begin for a while without a single thing in mind that could make the wheels run the ticking hands of space and time... now we've opened up the doors and now these lines have found the floor and if you feel like you're someone else then join the numbers that hear the sound and realize that from the same life we all are born and it feels right to begin for a while without a single thing in mind that could make the wheels run the ticking hands of space and time...

Sunday morning, strumming chords under the tree where mother birds have built their nests and men have lost their will to live a boy is struggling to remember that what he sees is make-believe, but there's a song there is always a song that tells him Oh my, oh my I am spinning through the universe I am at the speed of light I'm flying so high, so high I am the sky Sunday evening, the rain is falling by the sea he wonders how he's come to earn a role inside the mystery and why he's not somebody else and what's behind the wind that blows this perfect storm where there is always a song that tells him

you don’t know me, but I see you claiming space underneath my skin, while the wise and the strong refuse my stone crumbles and rises with ease to the wind… you don’t know me, but every day you’re becoming a trusted friend, while I sink in the weight of my ways the stone rises and rides the waves to the sand… we’re falling stars in stratospheres of worlds beyond our own where dawn’s a light born to reveal the mysteries yet unknown and seeing, you see me, seeing you… you don’t know me, but nights are soon for the rising of righteous love, in the darkness and hope of a tomb the stone lapses, the angels have come from above… we’re falling stars in stratospheres of worlds beyond our own where dawn’s a light born to reveal the mysteries yet unknown and seeing, you see me, seeing you… and all the while we’re making stories that someday will fill the time between the courses of our first date, and we’ll laugh because it’s over now, and say it all makes sense… but is this different? I’m seeing you… well, is this different? Are you seeing me?

someday, I'll be someone who helps to make it okay, for all the people that have found their own way, to show that hate isn't real and it won't be a matter of luck I hear the promise and I hear the call I see the goal and I see the path to walk and now the time has come to make that someday today someday, I'll hold the scepter of the king and hold sway, in all the rooms where only money has a say, and I'll speak up for the real and it won't be a matter of luck I hear the promise and I hear the call I see the goal and I see the path to walk 'cause now my time has come to make that someday... today... it won't be a matter of luck I hear the promise and I hear the call I see the goal and I see the path to walk and now that time has come... so make that someday today... 'cause you know the world becomes what the world becomes and all we ever have is this moment to give it a world in a day to let the world becomes what the world becomes and give it a world in a day

I'm sleeping and right in the middle of a good dream Like all at once I wake up from something that keeps Knocking at my brain Before I go insane I hold my pillow to my head And spring up in my bed screaming out the words I dread I think I love you (I think I love you) This morning, I woke up with this feeling I didn't know how to deal with and so I just decided to myself I'd hide it to myself and never talk about it And didn't I go and shout it when you walked into my room I think I love you (I think I love you) I think I love you so what am I so afraid of? I'm afraid that I'm not sure of a love there is no cure for I think I love you isn't that what life is made of? Though it worries me to say that I've never felt this way I don't know what I'm up against I don't know what it's all about I got so much to think about, hey I think I love you so what am I so afraid of? I'm afraid that I'm not sure of a love there is no cure for I think I love you isn't that what life is made of? Though it worries me to say I've never felt this way Believe me you really don't have to worry I only want to make you happy And if you say, Hey, go away, I will But I think better still I better stay around and love you Do you think I have a case? Let me ask you to your face Do you think you love me? I think I love you I think I love you
